LOCATION: The Valley Community Center (swimming) &
Samford Pool (diving)
FACILITY: POOL. Indoor 25 yard pool, offering 8 lanes for short course competition. Pool depth ranging from 4 feet at the shallowest to 7 feet at the deep end. TIMING. Automatic timing will be provided by Colorado Timing System with HYTEK interface on the course. Manual back up will be used. An 8-lane scoreboard will be available.
RULES: 2010 ARPA Swimming rules will govern the meet.

WARM-UP AND START TIMES:
Dive meet warm will be on Thursday July 29th at 8:00-10:00am, with competition beginning at 10:00am. State Swim meet warm-ups at 7:45am with competition beginning at 10:00am Friday July 30th and Saturday July 31st. all times are Central Standard Time.
SAFETY: In the interest of safety and accident prevention, coaches and swimmers are asked to observe all posted pool rules and to conduct themselves in a safe manner. Only meet workers, coaches/officials and swimmers will be allowed on the pool deck. Coaches are asked to help control the crowded pool deck by making sure all swimmers that are not at Clerk Of Course stay in the spectator area.
ELIGIBILITY: All swimmers must be ARPA Swimming registered. Coaches and officials must show certification as required by ARPA Swimming.
ENTRIES: Teams are urged to submit entries using HYTEK’s “Team Manager” program. A computer printout of entries with the event number and event description must accompany the computer disk with events in published order. Teams without “Team Manager” must use enclosed entry forms. Entries are to be listed in short course yard or “NT”.ENTRY
FEES: $2.50 per individual event
$1.00 ARPA surcharge per swimmer
$6.00 per Relay
Make checks payable to: Valley Area Swim Team (VAST) and mail with entry packet.
ENTRY LIMIT: Swimmers may enter a maximum of 3 individual events and 2 relays per ARPA rules.
LATE ENTRIES: Late entries will not be accepted unless protest committee allows it.
ENTRY ERRORS: If due to meet error, the swimmer will be deck entered into an open lane of the heat nearest his/her entry time or in a new heat. The entire event WILL NOT be reseeded.
ENTRY DEADLINE: Entry forms, disks with printouts, release/recap sheet and entry fees including surcharges must be received by the Meet Director on or before Tuesday, July 20th, 2010 by 12:00pm.

SEEDING: All events are timed finals and will be seeded according to all applicable USA Swimming rules. Seed times will be times entered on the entry form. Entries with no time (NT) will be seeded by random draw. Notification of scratched will be appreciated.
SCRATCHES: All scratches should be submitted by written list to the Clerk of Course as soon as possible before the coaches’ meeting. There will be not be a scratch meeting. The Meet Referee will combine heats as necessary. There will be no adding swimmers to the meet.
AWARDS: All Awards will be based on ARPA rules in the 2010 Sports and Rec manual.
COACHES MEETING: A coaches meeting will be held at the following times:
Friday July 30th at 9:00 am for Swimming.
Saturday July 31st at 9:00 am for Swimming.
HOSPITALITY: There will be a hospitality room available for coaches and officials only.
CONCESSIONS: There will be a concession area provided.
